Seven years have passed since the AGROPINE Congress – 2nd International Meeting on Mediterranean Stone Pine for Agroforestry dedicated to stone pine, which took place in Oeiras. Around 100 people participated in AGROPINE, and 28 oral communications, distributed over the five sessions of the Congress, were presented. Given the new economic and climatic context, this is the right time for a new Congress on this species. Since then, several projects have been developed on stone pine, and new producing areas have emerged in distant geographies.
